Who we are looking for
We are seeking passionate teachers who can show evidence of their experience and subject knowledge, and who are committed to serving the ummah. We are looking for people who see teaching as more than a career prospect: it is an amanah that must be upheld to the highest standards.
Above all we want someone who loves their subject and wants to share that love with young people. Every teacher must have solid Islamic foundations. For every subject other than Qur'an, Islamic Studies and Arabic, we also require experience of the UK education system and a UK teaching qualification.

Coming from an educational background ourselves, we know what teachers are usually asked to put up with. This is what we do differently.
Coming from an educational background, we understand the burdens many teachers face. We are therefore taking care to ensure that we provide you with the flexibility you need. Not only will you benefit from not having to commute to work, you will also have more time to spend on doing the things you love outside of your working hours.
If you have ever had to deal with the problem of not having a place to pray, or your employer not understanding that you need an hour on Friday for your jumu'ah prayers, or a few minutes of your day to perform your obligatory prayers, then you would understand how much of a luxury it is to work in a place where your faith is respected, and you have the freedom to express your religion with confidence.
Investing back into the people that work with us is crucial to our work. It is healthy for you to receive something back for the work you give to our young people. We will be investing in you by ensuring that you have opportunities to develop yourself outside of your profession, whether that be spiritually, personally, or intellectually. Your development is as important to us as it is to you.
Four years in, alhamdulillah, we are still small enough that you will have many opportunities to shape The Forerunners into the place that you would love to work in. We will be fostering a family atmosphere in our work together, and will count on each other as brothers and sisters to advise, improve and hold each other accountable.
