The Forerunners Scholarship
A full scholarship for a student entering Year 7, from a family who could not otherwise afford private homeschooling, open to families anywhere in the world. It is about more than affordability: it is about excellence, adab, and raising young leaders who give back with ihsan.
Vision and mission
The Forerunners Scholarship was born out of a deep understanding of the challenges many Muslim families face when trying to give their children an education that honours both their faith and their future.
Our founder, a sibling in a migrant family, an educator, and an advocate for equitable education, has experienced first-hand how the mainstream system fails to nurture the potential of children who are quiet, under-represented, or simply different. Despite years of advocacy and leadership in education reform, she realised real change would never come from within a system that was not built for us.
The Forerunners Education was created as a bold alternative, rooted in Islam with all its values. The scholarship reflects that mission: to open the door for students each year to access a transformational education without the weight of financial barriers. It is about more than affordability. It is about excellence, adab, and raising young leaders who will give back to their communities with ihsan.

If selected, the student and family must commit to:
In The Forerunners Education's homeschooling programme.
And timely submission of all assigned academic and Islamic work.
A minimum, every term.
And termly progress reflections.
In the student's development.
Of the scholarship, based on performance, effort and character.
How to apply
The application process has four steps. One student is awarded The Forerunners Scholarship at the end of it.
Step 1 of 4
Download the form and complete both sections: one for the parent or guardian, one for the student.
Step 2 of 4
Financial evidence (for example a payslip or a benefit letter), a reference letter from a teacher, imam or mentor, and contact details for your referees.
Step 3 of 4
Selected families will be invited to an online interview, held in the week commencing 10 July.
Step 4 of 4
One student will be awarded The Forerunners Scholarship, with the decision announced on 30 July.
